Idea-a-thon – come and co-create at Idea Shop Social
For the final day of Idea Shop Social, we are running an idea-a-thon. Please join us in solving problems and answering briefs submitted to us via twitter.
It works like this: People tweet us briefs using the hashtag #ideashop. Together we answer the briefs. Then the results and deets of those who contributed will be posted online for everyone to enjoy.
You can get involved in two ways:
1) Tweet us a problem/set us a brief.
Outline your problem or brief in a tweet and add the hashtag #ideashop We’ll then get to work on it and post our ideas live on this blog (3G connection willing).
Whether you’re a small business or a charity, an artist or a community group, an individual or an organisation and whether you’ve got a marketing challenge for us or some other conundrum, we will do our best to come up with ideas that will help.
Trouble condensing your problem into a single tweet? Don’t worry. Just give us the main points and we’ll DM, call or email you to get the bigger picture.
2) Join us in coming up with the ideas.
This idea-a-thon is all about collaboration. Us coming together with folks from social media, marketing, advertising and beyond to have ideas and share thinking. Everyone is welcome.
Every time we hold an Idea Shop we are contacted by people keen to help out and do some ideas with us. That’s why we’ve come up with the Idea-a-thon. It means anyone can get involved with Idea Shop.
Whether you can pop in for 30 minutes, an hour, a morning or the whole day we’d love to see you. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet to @idea_shop and then pop along. The Idea-a-thon will be held at Idea Shop Social, Unit G7, The Plaza, 120 Oxford Street, London, W1, 10am-6pm.
And if you can’t make it to the shop, don’t worry, you can always pitch in online and tweet your ideas.
We’ll be getting the ball rolling with a brief from the mayor’s office at 10am. After that who knows…
Update: Look for the hashtags #idea-A-thon #Ideashop and @idea_shop on twitter to see how the Idea-A-Thon went. We’ll be posting some of the best ideas here on the blog soon.
